Family Quick Start Guide

Welcome to StudySparks

Get your family set up in under 10 minutes. Follow the steps below to create your parent account, add your students, and start earning Sparks today.

Create Your Parent Account

Visit studysparksedu.com and click Get Started. Enter your name, email address, and create a secure password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.

Tip: Use an email address you check regularly. StudySparks sends reward approval requests and weekly progress summaries here.

Add Student Profiles

From your Parent Dashboard, navigate to Family → Add Student. Enter your child's first name, grade level, and choose a display username. Each student gets a unique join code to link their device.

Tip: You can add multiple students to one parent account. Each student has their own separate Spark balance and rewards catalog.

Set Daily Study Targets

Set your student's daily goal target (e.g., 20 or 30 minutes of study tasks). Meeting this target protects their daily streak and earns Sparks upon completion.

Tip: Tip: Start with a modest daily target to help your student build momentum and lock in their first multi-day streak.

Set Up Your Student's Device

Open studysparksedu.com on your student's tablet, laptop, or Chromebook. Log in to open their Student View. Whenever you need to approve tasks or adjust settings, enter your 4-digit Parent PIN to access the Parent Portal.

Tip: Tip: Bookmark the student dashboard on their home screen or browser toolbar for one-click access each school day.

Parent PIN Setup

During account creation, you'll be prompted to set a 4 digit Parent PIN. This PIN is required to approve rewards, adjust study targets, and access administrative settings. Keep it private — students cannot access PIN-protected areas.
